Do you love to sing or dance?

Kids on Broadway invites you to become a 'Triple threat ' performer by studying voice, drama & movement. Classes include acting techniques, voice instruction, staging of songs, musical theatre scene study, stage movement and choreography. We are proud to welcome enthusiastic students on our stage for the upcoming session. Here's a chance to strut your stuff!

Mission

Kids on Broadway is a musical theatre performing program for children ages 9 to14 that builds confidence and creativity for the future. Our mission is to provide challenging educational experiences through musical theatre programs designed to enhance self-esteem. We will endeavor to provide an environment for children to build their self-confidence through the development of vocal, dance and acting techniques. Opportunities to perform in front of their peers, in charitable environments and in a professional theatre will be given to all students.

Benefits

Each child’s potential will be challenged and developed, as they acquire excellent oral speaking skills, st
age presence, performance skills and increased self worth. Success on stage will be transferred to other life skills, such as the ability to give excellent oral presentations at school, increased confidence in social
situations, the development of self discipline and the ability to work as a member of a performance team.

Program

The annual sessions are held in the West End of Toronto and run from early September to the beginning of June.

SESSION 1: Fall Term [September – November]
12 weeks
This session provides an introduction to singing, acting and dancing techniques in a stimulating musical theatre environment. Students work on different musicals learning songs with choreography and participating in scene study. There will be opportunities for solo and small group development.

SESSION 2: Winter/Spring Term [January – June]
The program continues to develop voice, movement and drama skills while building production numbers in a full Broadway musical or revue to be performed in a professional theatre. All children are given a great deal of individual attention in order to prepare them for their outstanding performances. A serious commitment is required for this program. The results will amaze you!

• Classes are held in Central Etobicoke
